Workshop "Risks in Real Estate Investments"
Drees & Sommer as guest at LuFg Real Estate Project Development
On 24 November 2021, a one-day workshop on the topic of "Risks in Real Estate Investments" took place in cooperation with the consulting firm Drees & Sommer. Here, the students had the opportunity to gain in-depth insights into the various risks involved in buying and selling real estate as part of an impromptu session.
First, Valerij Eske and Martin Wrobel - both working in Real Estate Consulting at Drees & Sommer Düsseldorf - gave a lecture on the process of real estate transactions, components of the purchase investigation as well as digital developments in this subject area. In the afternoon, the students were allowed to examine a Cologne property in more detail as part of a case study. In a virtual building inspection, the students examined the building fabric. At the same time, the students examined building-related documents such as land register excerpts, building permits and expert reports for possible risks.
The department would like to thank Mr Eske and Mr Wrobel for organising the workshop and the students for their great interest in the topic and the exciting exchange.
