Guests from China at the department

As part of a study visit, Chinese guests from the School of Construction Management and Real Estate, Chongqing University, attended RWTH Aachen's teaching and research field for real estate project development.
With approximately 30 million inhabitants in an area as large as Austria, the Chinese metropolis of Chongqing is one of the largest cities in the world. 30 construction and real estate management students from Chongqing University were guests at the Department of Real Estate Project Development from 31.07.2018 to 02.08.2018 to discuss current topics in science and practice. The focus was on the future development of cities and mixed neighborhoods against the background of increasing demands on mobility and the environment.
Together with the International Office (Peter Hartges), the office mg + Growing City of the Department Planning, Construction, Mobility and Environment, the Development Company, Urban Renewal, the Master Plan Association and the
Economic Development Mönchengladbach (Karoline Nolte, Niko Papadopoulos, Dr. Frank Schulz, Ernst Kreuder and David Bongartz) and the Chair and Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Management (Anna Wilmink and Elena Klopries) a varied program of lectures, workshops and on-site visits emerged. The students from Chongqing University were delighted with the diverse, subject-related and international exchange that is to be consolidated in the future through further cooperation.
