Summer School „Energy Performance of Buildings and Districts“

The Summer School "Energy Performance of Buildings and Districts" in July 2023 will provide international students with insights into the development of energy-efficient buildings and districts.

The Summer School consists of a total of three thematic blocks: In the module "Feasibility Study & Economic Viability", an introduction to the relevant tasks of project development for real estate is given. Furthermore, building simulation will be introduced by presenting the mathematical and physical basics of energetic building modeling and simulation, the implementation of models. The module "District Heating Supply Systems" provides knowledge about the design and operation of district heating supply systems using mathematical optimization.

The Summer School is organized by the International Academy of RWTH Aachen University together with the Chair of Real Estate Project Development, the Chair of Energy Efficient Construction and the Chair of Building and Indoor Climate Engineering.
