Sustainable hospital design

The course provides insights into diverse research areas of real estate project development and real estate management. Students are given the opportunity to work scientifically on compact topics related to real estate management. The students apply the rules of good scientific practice and work with different types of information and sources.

Within the scope of the research field "Sustainable Hospital Design", the students examine various international approaches to realising sustainable hospital design. First, the political framework conditions and evaluation systems for sustainable construction in different countries are examined. Based on this, relevant construction measures and operating standards for various hospitals are evaluated. The work also deals with possible further developments and optimisation potentials. The results of the investigation are summarised and presented uniformly in the form of a written paper.

The research field can optionally be taken as a course with 3 ECTS or 6 ECTS.
