Stegreif | Impulses from building practice
The job description of architects, urban planners and project developers is diverse. At the same time, the building industry is subject to constant change. Current issues such as climate change, the energy transition, etc. are constantly bringing new challenges that shape our buildings and the work of those involved in the building and planning process.
As part of the impromptu programme, students have the opportunity to gain an insight into the diversity of architects' everyday work and to engage in direct exchange with those involved in building practice. Participants are invited to attend the lectures in the iMPULSE series of events in the summer semester.
In a written term paper, the findings on the various perspectives from building practice as well as the effects of current challenges will be summarised. Finally, the students are to reflect on the extent to which the impulses have affected their views on the various professional profiles of planners as well as their personal further career.
The aim of the seminar is to gain insights into the various fields of activity of architects, urban planners and project developers. Participation in all lectures of the iMPULSE event series is mandatory to pass the impromptu.
