Stegreif | Objet trouvé
An objet trouvé (French for found object) refers to an object of everyday use or found in nature that is placed in a different functional and meaningful context and reinterpreted as a work of art. The object can be processed, alienated and combined with other objects in a different way.
Within the framework of the impromptu "Objet trouvé" in winter semester 20/21, students develop design proposals for an interior or exterior space using found objects from everyday life, nature or industrial waste products. On the basis of a theoretical examination of upcycling in the building industry, a concept for the subsequent use of concrete objects and materials will be developed and elaborated in the design, e.g. for furniture or wall coverings.
