The need and interest in implementing the energy and climate turnaround is enormous. Accordingly, an energy- and resource-conscious rethink is necessary in many areas.

The Energy App (Epp) project is being funded by the Ministry of Economics, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of North Rhine-Westphalia for a period of one year with around 100,000 euros. In cooperation with the Chair of Informatics 10 at RWTH Aachen University, the scientists are developing a user-friendly application to process and optimise individual energy consumption.

Within the framework of the project, everyday situations are examined and generated emissions are processed transparently. In addition to the visualisation of energy and CO2 consumption, users will be shown optimisation potential and given incentives for an energy- and resource-conscious lifestyle.

The research project contributes to the realisation of the German energy and climate protection goals. If you are interested or have any questions about the research project, please contact kontakt@ipe.arch.rwth-aachen.de.
