Guests from China at the department
As part of a study visit, Chinese guests from the School of Construction Management and Real Estate, Chongqing University, attended RWTH Aachen's teaching and research field for real estate project development.
Around 30 students of construction and real estate management from Chongqing University were guests in summer 2018 to exchange ideas on current topics in science and practice. The focus was on the future development of cities and mixed neighbourhoods against the background of increasing demands on mobility and the environment.
Together with the International Office of RWTH Aachen University (Peter Hartges), the department's mg+ Growing City staff unit.
Planning, Building, Mobility and Environment, the Development Society, Urban Renewal, the Masterplan Association and the Mönchengladbach Economic Development Corporation (Karoline Nolte, Niko Papadopoulos, Dr. Frank Schulz, Ernst Kreuder and David Bongartz) and the Chair and Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Management (Anna Wilmink and Elena Klopries), a varied programme of lectures, workshops and site visits with a wide range of specialist exchanges was created.
