What challenges are the central players in the construction and real estate industry currently facing? To which future developments do they already have to find answers today? What influence does this have on their everyday work?
As part of our lecture series "Impulse aus der Baupraxis" (Impulses from Construction Practice) in the summer semester of 2022, we addressed these questions. A total of five exciting lectures led us through these questions.
The last lecture in our "Impulse aus der Baupraxis" series took place on 12 July. Johannes Engels and Valerij Eske from Drees & Sommer spoke about digital tools in the construction and real estate industry. From digital data rooms to robotic dogs on the construction site to blockchain methods, the two explained what is already possible today and what potentials exist.
The conclusion: digital tools can be a real added value for the construction and real estate industry, but they must be ideally adapted to their respective application contexts in order to survive on the market.
Many thanks, Valerij Eske and Johannes Engels, for the insights into the industry and the exciting discussion with the students!
